ASICS x YMC Tarther OG - Launching 11th April
7 April 2020Taking cues from the Madchester scene of the late '80s, ASICS and YMC imbue the Tarther OG silhouette with a healthy dose of rave culture.
The sophomore collaborative effort from Japanese sportswear titans, ASICS, and London-based menswear brand, YMC, this time round, the two brands look back to '80s Britain for inspiration. Tapping the Madchester scene that flourished with bands like Happy Mondays, the Stone Roses and Inspiral Carpets, this joyous representation of a bygone culture sees classic rave style reimagined with these two renditions of an iconic silhouette.
A mainstay on the feet of party-goers during the late '80s, the Tarther OG style sees retro sportswear aesthetics coupled with a flourish of YMC's trademark stylistic approach. The brand's signature ikat print embellishes the rich canvas uppers, while beading decorates the premium leather laces - a celebration of expressive gesture, flow and the togetherness raves represented.
