In 1966, Paul Van Doren, his brother Jim, and their partners opened a storefront beside their factory to skip the middleman — no hype, just rubber, canvas, and a belief that shoes should outlast whatever you throw at them. That ethos still defines Vans for men today.

Southern California’s skate scene quickly adopted the #44 Deck Shoe (now the Vans Authentic) for its grippy, durable sole. By the mid‑70s, collaborations with Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta led to the #95 Era, followed by the Vans Old Skool with its iconic Sidestripe, and the #98 Slip‑On — a symbol of effortless West Coast cool.

Today, the lineup spans checkerboard classics, bold colourways, Anaheim Factory DX styles, and premium Vault LX releases across the men’s Vans collection.
