THE NORTH FACE X ONLINE CERAMICS CHAPTER TWO

The North Face reunites with Online Ceramics for a collection inspired by the free-spirited nature of camping in the 1960s, resulting in apparel and accessories that are “Built for Life” and created for “Camping and Outdoor Use”.

Following on from their debut collection in April of 2022, which served as a celebration of Earth Day utilising upcycled Re-Grind materials, The North Face and Online Ceramics reunite with Chapter 2 of their collaborative partnership. This time around, the two come together to draw inspiration from the free-spirited nature of camping in the 1960s, a time when it was still a niche activity used as a tool of escapism from everyday life. “When The North Face was founded in 1966, camping was a fringe activity for those looking to escape through the peace and calm of the outdoors”, said David Whetstone, Senior Design Manager of Collaborations and Special Projects at The North Face.

It's this free-spiritedness that runs deeply through Online Ceramics, offering a unique perspective on topics such as spirituality and self-discovery, all while prioritising local, lower-impact manufacturing practices. This approach sits at the core of the capsule through vibrant, irreverent graphics, ranging from text reading “Forest Hugger” to cartoonish suns above “I’m here to water your plants”. A slew of recycled and performance materials feature throughout the collection, too, including water-resistant fabrics and FlashDry-XD™ materials for moisture management, abrasion resistance and UPF 50+ protection. The capsule is made up of both outerwear classics, like The North Face’s Denali Fleece and Windjammer pullover, as well as campsite essentials like the Denali blanket and Base Camp box.

The North Face x Online Ceramics Chapter Two will be available at END. on the 23rd June.
