Perth-based Butter Goods draws from multiple sources with its designs, creating skatewear that’s brimming with playfulness.

Butter Goods is a label heavily immersed in skateboarding culture. Its founders, Garth Mariano and Matt Evans, are both skaters themselves, having been key figures in Perth’s bustling scene from a young age.

But the brand extends way beyond skateboarding, drawing from just about everything for inspiration. Music, art, culture, you name it, the Perth-based label has a deep appreciation for a diverse number of topics, with each one explored in a way that aligns with its laidback aesthetic.

The latest from the label, its Q3 collection, showcases that eclectic approach to design. There’s an array of different styles in there to reflect that, ranging from classic outerwear with quilted vests and puffers, to bold knitwear that’s covered in playful patterns. It continues with the graphics, too — there’s a short-sleeve shirt covered in a flame-engulfed race car, while tees are printed with colourful logos that evoke ‘90s nostalgia.
