Originally designed by Toshikazu Kayano in the ‘80s, ASICS’ EX89 sneaker is inspired by the brand’s 1989 GEL-EXTREME™ basketball style and the designer’s visit to America in 1987. The heritage design’s uppers are influenced by the palette of ‘80s NBA uniforms and features an outsole designed to mirror the silhouette of a cityscape from the sky.
