Jacques Solovière

Jacques Solovière is heritage artisanal shoemaking with a new look. Founder Alexia Aubert named the label after her grandfather, a man whose sharp sense of style extended to the privacy of his own living room. Tailored indoor suits and elegant slippers were considered entirely appropriate attire for a quiet afternoon at home, and Jacques Solovière footwear was created as an earnest tribute to just that.

Founded in 2014 while luxury footwear was getting louder, bulkier and increasingly logo-driven, Jacques Solovière chose a different path. The ambition was not to create the next big thing, but the next classic: a shoe so well judged it might one day feel as though it had always existed. Put simply, the maison wants to make the wearer feel good when they walk in their shoes. European vision, savoir-faire, and precision shape each and every pair — conceived in the design studios of Paris, perfected in the ateliers of Italy and produced in the generation-old family-owned factories of Portugal.

Jacques Solovière footwear slots right in-between minimalist sneakers and welted leather shoes, offering something you can wear for pretty much any occasion; something less formal than traditional dress shoes but slightly more considered than your average lace-up. A signature seamless upper defines each loafer, derby or boot, each crafted with unique one-piece leather constructions, tongue folds, and meticulous piping.

Footwear that Jacques Solovière himself would be proud of. Shop the collection, now at END.
