Founded in 2005, NOMARHYTHM TEXTILE has spread its roots wide from London to New York and Tokyo, filtering a global perspective through a uniquely Japanese lens. 

Founders Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki bring two worlds together to shape NOMARHYTHM TEXTILE’s distinct voice. Noguchi’s background in fine art and textile design gives the brand its signature balance of structure and spontaneity, while Sasaki’s experience as a buyer and boutique owner informs the brand’s sharp eye for detail and curation. The sincere commitment to craft runs deep, with hand-drawn graphics brought to life through traditional techniques and modern materials. Every textile is a study in proportion, texture and feel, deliberately placing fabrication at the forefront of everything.

Over the years, the brand has championed a fierce sense of independence. By choosing to avoid collaborations entirely for the first 13 years after its founding, NOMARHYTHM TEXTILE stands strong against watered-down, unnecessary projects — choosing only to create with meaning, and to create what matters. Despite having genuine connections with their counterparts (such as nonnative and Nepenthes), they chose to generate their exposure all on their own, building identity from integrity over hype.
