Description
You’ll need more than one look at this Club C from Reebok and Maison Margiela. What seems to be conventional panelling is in fact not. The lines and toe box perforations are all drawn on to create an optical illusion that’s meant to deceive. It’s a nod to both the trompe l’oeil art technique the Parisian house’s couture background, with the chalk-like graphics reminiscent of tailoring marks. The iconic Union Jack branding is still present on the sidewall — though it’s drawn on, too — and is joined by Margiela signatures on both the heel and tongue.
