As Yosuke Aizawa sent a collection of colourful graphics, tropical prints and jungle illustrations down the runway, a statement bomber emerged out of the smoke and into the neon lights. Crafted from a waterproof and breathable Saitos nylon shell, White Mountaineering explored nautical adventure novels and marine navy colourways for SS17. Decorated with the brand’s logos throughout, the ‘Ocean Color Service’ applique pays homage to this seasons themes, while being constructed with design, utility and technology as a nod to the Japanese label’s primary notion.
