London’s menswear designer of the moment, Martine Rose takes her hand to the sneaker circuit’s original ‘Dad’ shoe through her unorthodox collaboration with sporting ace Nike this season. Rendering the brand’s perennial Air Monarch IV silhouette, self-proclaimed nonconformist Rose uplifts and transforms the Americana style into an 'extraordinary shape'; opting for smooth leather uppers in a bulbous formula. Led with inspiration from athletes and their body contours, the design’s authentic white, metallic silver and midnight navy colourway uncovers the classic dimensions of the trainer’s quintessential founder - boasting a performance anatomy comprising of a phylon midsole, and finishing details illuminated by Nike’s lauded Swoosh and Rose’s scripted sign off upon the side wall.
