New England retailer Concepts partners with Converse to pay homage to the humble beginnings of basketball, making a Chuck Taylor Hi inspired by the peach basket that was when the sport was created back in 1891. The uppers really embody the peach, with suede uppers reflecting its lightly hairy texture and an orange gradient that’s almost ripe and ready for picking. But the vibrant hues don’t stop there. They’re underfoot, too, accenting the classic white rubber tooling and gracing both heel plaques — varsity-inspired ‘CONCEPTS’ on the left and the iconic All-Star on the right.
