Continuing to impress in his new position as Creative Director at the iconic French Maison, Anthony Vaccarello's interpretation of the Saint Laurent man this season centres on the reinvention of the rockabilly rebel, imbued with a new-age care-free attitude that speaks to the current global consciousness.

Clearly superbly skilled in his development of fashion-forward outerwear - in particular, his ability to instil an elusive sense of Parisien cool in textiles as ubiquitous as leather and denim - Vaccarello's Saint Laurent man evokes a cutting-edge nonplussed attitude which pushes the envelope of the contemporary man's urban uniform. Evolving the accessibility of the rock-and-roll aesthetic of his predecessor, Hedi Slimane, Vaccarello takes Saint Laurent's offering from the stage of an off-beat Parisian dive-bar to the streets outside.

The collection features a range of elevated streetwear which speaks to the maturity of the luxury label's audience, whose outlook on style is contemporary without being faddish; a refined exploration of the current style zeitgeist that remains firmly rooted in the Saint Laurent point-of-view.

High-spirited experimentation with souvenir patches on denim is complemented with scripted embroidered details and quirky graphics, converging to make clear that serious fashion need not be stone-faced or esoteric.
