MACH-HOMMY – “BALENS CHO (HOT CANDLES)”
Mach-Hommy’s second full-length project of the year, “Balens Cho” sees the rapper delve deeper into his Haitian roots. The 13-track album, which translates to “Hot Candles” in Creole, is a combination of the artist’s intricate lyrical flow — in which he shines a hopeful light on the future of Haitian youth — with relaxing instrumentals.
LUCKI & F1LTHY – “WAKE UP LUCKY"
On LUCKI’s latest album, “Wake up Lucki”, the Chicago-based rapper partners with Working On Dying producer F1LTHY. Bass-heavy trap beats feature throughout the 12-track project, providing the perfect backdrop for LUCKI’s laidback, woozy vocals.
SKY H1 – "AZURE"
SKY H1’s much-anticipated debut album, “Azure”, is a diverse, experimental project created in memory of the artist’s mother. The 9-track piece serves as an exploration of the electronic music spectrum, with intricate tracks that nod to everything from ambient to breakbeat.
NILS FRAHM – "OLD FRIENDS NEW FRIENDS"
Nils Frahm’s latest project, “Old Friends New Friends”, is a collection of unreleased tracks recorded between 2009 and 2021. The album is an expansive, 23-track compilation of solo piano recordings, with Frahm describing the project as “an anatomy of all my ways of thinking musically and playing”.
TIERRA WHACK – “RAP?”
Tierra Whack releases her first project since 2018, titled “Rap?”. The three-track EP is a combination of upbeat instrumentals with complex and playful lyricism, showcasing Whack’s experimental approach to hip hop.
