Carhartt WIP and MARNI unite for the first time to rework utilitarian classics from an exuberant angle.
If there had to be one way to describe MARNI, it would be playful. The fashion house shirks all convention in favour of exuberance, colouring outside of the lines through bold patterns, cuts, textures and colours. This season, MARNI partners with Carhartt WIP for the first time, channelling this free-spirited sensibility and distilling it with classic utility.
The collection offers a look at Carhartt WIP mainstays from an alternative perspective, one where colours, patterns and shapes are all used free of boundaries. Take Carhartt WIP’s classic chore jacket, for instance: at initial glance it looks just as you’d expect, four pocket set up included, though it's patchwork, reversible and cut from both shearling on one side and leather on the other. The same experimentation continues elsewhere, with typical-of-MARNI florals adorning work jackets, shirts and bucket hats.
