Tolu Coker Jeans

London-based designer and multidisciplinary artist Tolu Coker brings a sharp, socially grounded perspective to modern luxury. Rooted in her British–Nigerian heritage, her work centres community, craftsmanship and culture — not as mere motifs, but as the foundation for how each piece is designed, made, and passed on.

For SS26, UNFINISHED BUSINESS, Coker steps away from the runway and into intimate storytelling. Shot as a cinematic short film with Naomi Campbell at the heart of it, the collection explores fashion as heirloom — clothing that moves with you, supports you, and evolves across generations. Upcycled leathers, reclaimed cottons and sculptural tailoring echo the transitions of womanhood, while Yoruba references sit comfortably alongside British craft codes. It’s personal, quiet, and powerful; a study in what we inherit, and what we choose to leave behind.

Previous seasons mirror that line of questioning. SS25 ‘OLAPEJU’ honoured the matriarchs of British–Nigerian communities, and AW24 ‘BROKEN ENGLISH’ examined migration and shared languages through layered silhouettes and consciously-made textiles.

Across it all, Coker pushes luxury into deeper territory — thoughtful, culturally rooted, and built to last.
