Carhartt WIP has always borrowed from workwear, but what’s changed recently is how literally they’re lifting details from one category and dropping them into another. On the Lander coat, those double‑layer pockets are basically the double‑knee pant construction transplanted onto outerwear — a straight pull from one of WIP’s most recognisable styles. And it isn’t an anomaly. It’s part of a wider move where WIP is recycling, remixing, and re‑framing its own workwear DNA.
