Diesel has never really understood the concept of playing it safe. Long before fashion embraced disruption as a marketing strategy, Renzo Rosso was already challenging expectations through distressed denim, provocative campaigns and a refusal to follow the crowd. The Italian label didn't just help shape modern denim culture, it helped redefine what a fashion brand could actually be.
Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens between 2020 and 2026, that spirit sharpened. Martens channelled the irreverence of Diesel’s early years with a more experimental, architectural edge, pushing denim into new territories between streetwear, couture craftsmanship and progressive fabrication. In his hands, Diesel’s original rule‑breaking attitude became a modern engine for innovation, ready for a new generation. Departing after the Spring/Summer 2027 show in Milan, the future of Diesel is set up to only get brighter.
