WHAT HAPPENED @ ADIDAS ADIZERO "FEEL THE FAST" - MANCHESTER

END. and adidas hosted “Feel the Fast” in Manchester: the second event in a three-part running series that celebrates the community spirit of running.

Kicking off the second part of a three-part series in celebration of adidas ADIZERO, runners flocked to END.’s store in the centre of Manchester to take part in the “Feel the Fast” event, hosted by 2024 Manchester Marathon winner and Purdue Performance coach Adam Clarke.

With the initial rendezvous set at END.’s store on St. Mary’s Gate, Adam kicked things off with a keynote speech focussing on the heart rate approach to running. Exploring the benefits of this approach and the practical elements of how to implement it into your training regime, Adam’s talk celebrated the joy of running free from technology. Following the keynote, we took things to the streets for a run through the city and on to Peel Park, Salford. With runners trying their hand at heart rate running, Adam led the demonstration, showcasing the different levels of running and highlighting how pace effects heart rate for runners of all abilities.

Returning to the END. store for some light refreshments and an opportunity to refuel with nutritional supplements from Strykr, a moments rest was granted to the running group before a select few decided to test their metal with an opportunity to win some prizes in our heart rate treadmill challenge. Tasked with maintaining their heart rate in different levels dictated by Adam, the contestants were able to put their newfound skills to the test and listen to their body, with the winners securing places on the Manchester Marathon and a 1-2-1 12 week training program with Adam Clarke.
