Casablanca's Après-Sport Mode

A refined and casual vision of luxury, Charaf Tajer's Casablanca elevates the style of comfort to an art.

Following his association with the Parisian label Pigalle, Charaf Tajer has sought to cultivate his own distinctive impression of luxury menswear. Presenting Casablanca, the 33-year old designer showcases a vision of effortless cool, comfort and elegant casual aesthetics, fusing traditional Parisian chic with a touch of Moroccan stylisation.

Named after the city in which Tajer's parents met and fell in love, Casablanca captures a certain romanticism associated with the city - further enhanced with the twist of classic Parisian atmosphere. Distilling the feeling of warm nights and warmer days, rich silk fabrics and pastel tones combine to present the feeling of endless holidays and good times.

Delivering a retro sensibility through imagery, typography and style, Casablanca moves to recontextualise clothing of comfort with attention to detail and specific fabric selections. Presenting a plethora of printed tees, silk shirts and jacquard knit sweatshirts, Tajer instils the essence of a bygone era into Casablanca's French Riviera charm. A glamorous depiction of louche style, this new label expertly navigates sportswear to deliver what the founder terms the "après-sport mood". Designed to represent the moment of relaxation following hard work and sporting achievement, tied together with themes of travel and hotel life, Casablanca ensure their style is wrapped up perfectly in the concept of holiday meets history.
