When Nike’s Air Carnivore first launched in 1993, the result was bold. Like, really bold. And that’s the approach taken in the sportswear label’s latest collaboration with Comme des Garçons, though there are some deviations from the model’s norm. The shoe’s performance heritage remains as usual, with a neoprene bootie sleeve, anti-inversion straps and a chunky, Air-cushioned sole. They are, however, coloured entirely in white — as is typical of Rei Kawakubo — and feature reflective overlays to push the avant-garde look even further.
