Rivi is the Finnish word for line, which is exactly what Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s pattern is: hand-drawn and running on endlessly in both directions. It’s as precise as it is imperfect, and that’s the charm. Artek, the Finnish brand founded in Helsinki in 1935, has put it on a large laminated plywood tray, so the pattern leaves the fabric and joins you at teatime.
