New Balance reframes its ABZORB story with the 1890, pushing the lineage into new, slightly unfamiliar territory. The model splices two cult favourites — the original 2002 sole unit, once shelved for being ahead of its time, and the sculpted upper of the 890v3 — to create something that feels intentionally off‑kilter. It’s an evolved Y2K hybrid that looks backwards and forwards at once, landing in ‘Dark Metallic’ with sharp silver and pink accents that underline its technical edge. An archive experiment pointed firmly towards the future.
