Alvar Aalto loved Siena so much that he named a pattern after it. Legend has it, the geometric pattern came from the city’s mediaeval cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo. He drew it in 1954, almost twenty years after co-founding Artek in Helsinki. Now it covers this small tray, ideal for serving up treats or displaying your trinkets.
