When the 1300 first released in 1984, New Balance had this to say: “There’s a good reason why the 1300 costs more than any running shoe you’ve probably ever owned. It costs more because it offers more.” They were right. It introduced unto the world one of NB’s most important technologies of the late 20th century: ENCAP. It’s performance was second-to-none, and it was quickly adopted far beyond the running community. Today, the legend makes its return to the Made in USA rotation, oozing with all the premium feel of the OG.
