Paraboot named the Avoriaz after the French ski resort, and so naturally the boot began life on a mountain. It’s derived from a design by Galibier, the sister brand Paraboot looks to for mountain boots, which is where it gets its crossover gusseted tongue. Inspired by the hikes of the ’60s and ’80s, the waxed leather, Norwegian welt and natural rubber sole were all built for outdoors. Made in France, it has since been brought into town — but it still looks ready for the climb.
