The Nike LDV (Long Distance Vector) was summiting peaks before ACG was even born. Long distance running was originally its sole purpose, before mountaineers Rick Ridgeway and John Roskelley pulled on a pair for the 1978 expedition up K2 — known as The Savage Mountain for its steepness and unforgiving terrain. After conquering K2 back then, it’s making a comeback now with the same waffle outsoles but added ReactX cushioning — brought under the ACG umbrella where it rightfully belongs.
