Burlon taps Steven Spielberg for his SS19 Inspiration

Multi-hyphenate creative and staple-show on the Milan fashion circuit, Marcelo Burlon and his label County of Milan unveiled an SS19 vision at Milan Fashion Week on Sunday.

Drawing inspiration from Steven Spielberg's 1977 Sci-Fi flic, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Burlon unleashed a bevvy of neon colours and graphic patches and prints, all applied to a fresh collection of forward-thinking streetwear silhouettes.

Cutting through the futurism of the collection, Burlon balanced the Sci-Fi elements with the introduction of country Americana.

Revealing upcoming collaborations with Linda Farrow on sunglasses and Eastpak on haulage essentials, Marcelo Burlon's SS19 show took things up a level on the design front, looking beyond this planet to an extra-terrestrial future.
