Tokyo-based brand Blue Blue Japan gained cult status for its signature use of natural indigo and that’s just the case with this tee. Crafted from pure cotton and indigo dyed to achieve its deep blue hue, it utilises a traditional Japanese dye method called Bassen where the pigment is skilfully removed from the chest – leaving behind the Haru symbol which translates to spring in English.
This garment has been produced using traditional indigo dyeing methods. As a result, the colour will fade with every wash and dye transfer onto lighter clothing may occur.
