Adidas Tubular Runner 'Chinese New Year'Power Red & Gold Metallic
On February 8, the Year of the Monkey commences for the Chinese Lunar calendar, and this year adidas celebrate with a striking Chinese New Year-themed pack. Offering up three Tubular silhouettes, the uppers are decorated in bold red colourways – believed to ward away evil and symbolize luck in Chinese culture.
An iconic 90s runner, the Tubular Runner has been given tonal-red mesh uppers, sat upon a crisp white Tubular outsole with minimal gold accents on the aglets and eyelets. The heel counter has been embossed with cheeky monkey faces in honor of the Chinese zodiac animal that represents those who have been born in the years 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 and 2016.
