Fracap are no longer a best kept secret, it has in fact been a long time since they were, a time when these first class hiking boots were only available to the Japanese market and were nearly impossible to track down. Thankfully times have changed.

The Capello family has owned and run Calzaturificio Fracap factory in Monteroni di Lecce for over 100 years and has been one of the major forces in the world of outdoor footwear for most of that time. All of Fracap’s Scarponcino boots (directly meaning hiking boots) are hand crafted from premium Italian leather and have an almost unsurpassed hiking pedigree.

Scarponcino boots come in a variety of colours and shapes be it high shine leather or super soft suede but every single one sits on either a Vibram or Ripple sole. Vibram, another classic Italian product, provides a sole that it both durable and incredibly comfortable and the Ripple sole, a Fracap original, has been the sole of choice for hikers since the 19th century.
