Denim may well be the reason visvim exists, with founder Hiroki Nakamura’s interest in fashion starting with a pair of vintage jeans. As such, it’s been a core fabric for the Japanese label, taking it away from its workwear roots while staying respectful of the original craft. These Social Sculpture jeans are a fine example. They’re distressed in a considered manner, with gentle fading and hand-dripped paint details, and finished with an indigo dyed deer skin patch on the back.
