Vans Vault and Taka Hayashi are no strangers; the Japanese-born artist’s collections may as well be part of the mainline at this point. The Slip On, and its iconic checkerboarding, is the focus this time around and its premium makeup is more suited to the streets than it is the park. The pattern, rather than being printed, is instead woven from luxe suede and sits timeless navy blue alongside peachy keen pink. It’s all then grounded with classic white foxing tape and a reworked red plaque on each heel.
