Purveyor of the most effortless form of Parisian cool, AMI Paris unveiled its AW18 menswear collection yesterday with an atmospheric runway-come-rooftop-performance which struck a chord with inner-city urbanites across Europe and beyond.
Building a hyper-realistic set which mirrored the iconic rooftops of central-Paris, the collection reaffirmed AMI Paris' position as the clothiers of ambitious youth. Imbued with a sense of unmistakable optimism, Alexandre Mattiussi's label is a shining example of laid-back design without the need for excessive drama or highfalutin concept. These are simply well-designed clothes for the European style elite.
Featuring a generous spread of understated outerwear, macs, trenches, and wool overcoats were iterated in casual fits and in a muted autumnal palette well suited to the colder seasons. This season's pants were cropped and tapered, putting a contemporary spin on classic European tailoring.
Infinitely versatile and easy to style in myriad ways, AMI Paris' AW18 collection will launch at END. later this year.
