Multi-hyphenate Fergus Purcell, a.k.a. Fergadelic, has long been a prominent figure in the UK skate scene. Even if you’ve never heard the name, you’ve seen his work. And this season, he partners with Vans Vault to apply his distinctive graphic style to the SoCal label’s signature models. The Authentic is next in line, with an acid wash effect covering the low-cut canvas uppers. It’s inspired by a memory from Purcell’s youth – one of a pair of Vans he coveted back in the ‘80s – and overlaid with scratch card-like graphics for a further hit of nostalgia.
