Based around four defining principles – improvise, scavenge, protect and adapt – the ISPA division takes Nike’s famed history of innovation to the next level. The Flow is no exception, with elements scavenged from the archives and adapted to meet the demands of modern city life. Inspired by the extreme sports athletes who meticulously alter their own gear to shed weight – the ‘gram shavers’ – they’re super lightweight and super breathable. The open weave, mono mesh uppers team with an Air Kukini-inspired sole – there are holes across the outsole that, on the Kukini, allowed for excess water to drain out mid-run – to allow for efficient air flow and keep the feet cool.
