Way back in 1970, an icon made its debut. It was adidas’ Superstar, and the cultural significance cannot be understated. Designed to dominate on the court and quickly adopted off it by the masses, its legacy is still evolving to this day, 50 years later. The German label celebrates this, and its global appeal, with a pack of six sneakers. Each is dedicated to a significant city, and this one for Los Angeles. It retains the all-important rubber shell toe on the front – it wouldn’t be a Superstar, without it – but uses a velvet-like nubuck across the uppers and sleek perforated branding in place of the usual serrated variant. A golden Trefoil on each heel adds a premium finishing touch.
