adidas’ Superstar turns 50 this year and, to celebrate, the German label pays tribute to the off-court heroics of the model. It started life as a fully-fledged basketball sneaker but has since transitioned to a lifestyle model favoured by the hip hop world, the sneakerheads and the casual city-goers. This pair, from a wider pack, pays homage to the cultural significance of London. It’s crafted from smooth Italian leather and has perforated sidewall branding to smarten up the appearance, while the iconic nickname-giving shell toe graces the front, as it should, to complete the look.
