Within the YEEZY line-up, there are some extremely out-there footwear, both in the technology employed and the hyper-experimental visuals. Arguably one of the boldest is the Foam Runner: a part-sneaker, part-sandal constructed using algae foam.
Perforated Uppers
The latest from Ye, two iterations of the cutting-edge Foam Runner in “Stone Sage” and “Sulfur”, showcases the multihyphenate’s zeitgeist-defining design approach.
Algae Foam Construction
Both iterations retain their distinctive aesthetic, thanks to moulded, heavily-perforated algae foam forming their construction. To further that quintessential YEEZY aesthetic, both shoes are coloured in neutral, earthy tones, with the “Sulfur” rendered in a light yellow hue and the “Stone Sage” in a grey, rock-like shade.
