A healthy dose of ‘90s nostalgia straight out of Japan, Mizuno’s 1998 Wave Rider 1 was the first to feature the brand’s all-important Wave cushioning technology. Finished in an athletics-staple combination of white and navy blue, they use a lightweight mesh as the base of the upper and place a wavy gradient on the midsole to allude to the comfy tech within.
