PUMA teams up with Def Jam Recordings to celebrate 30 years since the release of Public Enemy’s legendary album, Fear of a Black Planet. Using the Clyde sneaker as the canvas, the pair rework the classic b-ball style, constructing this pair using pepper red suede at the uppers, and – paying homage to the hip-hop group – replacing the Puma motif with the iconic crosshair logo at the heels and tongues. Moving down, the tributes are continued at the rubber soles with black printed text reading ‘PUBLIC ENEMY’ and ‘FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET’.
