New Balance’s XC72 is designed to blend traditional styles from the brand with unexplored territory inspired by 1970s concept cars. The uppers on this pair — which are similar to another modern-retro sneaker, the 327 — are cut from suede and nylon and colour in shades grey and black, then joined to a sole that’s split down the middle, with different tread on either side, to complete the out-there look. The rubber outsole of the sneaker extends out past the back of the heel creating a unique style.
