Nike x Virgil Abloh 'Project Ten' - London "Off Campus" Event

In what was indisputably one of the most coveted guest lists in London this weekend, Nike invited a small selection of buyers and press for a programme of interactive exhibitions, each designed to provide a deeper insight into the sportswear giant's upcoming 'The Ten' collaboration with Virgil Abloh.

Dubbed 'the reconstruction of ten icons', OFF-WHITE's Abloh deconstructed ten of Nike's best-loved sneakers, with a view to lifting the lid on the processes involved in their creation and in celebration of the individual components which combine to create some of the world's most popular footwear silhouettes.

Intended to be 'a space for the exchange of new ideas in sports and culture', Nike invited an exclusive roster of guests to spend an evening in the Curtain Hotel, Shoreditch.

First, the guests were then taken to NikeLab 1948 for a deeply immersive project experience which detailed the inspiration and creative process behind the collaboration.

From there, the select few were invited to take part in an "Off Campus" customisation workshop where, alongside Virgil himself, each guest embarked upon their own exploration of some of Nike's most iconic silhouettes. Equipped with a range of craft materials, the invitees were encouraged to forge their own iterations of their favourite sneaker by first deconstructing to gain an incomparable insight into how each shoe is crafted.

Following an evening of partying, the guests were asked to join a range of Nike SB athletes at Southbank London on Sunday, to watch the first official application of Abloh's reconstructed Blazer in one of the most authentic and culturally relevant skateboarding spots in the world.
