Celebrating 70 years of Diadora.
Celebrating 70 years of Diadora through a unique and authentic partnership between two of Italy's most revered and storied shoemaking brands, Diadora and Diemme unveil the Tonale Mod 1948.
Taking the opportunity to return to Diadora's roots as an artisanal mountain boot workshop which opened its doors in Caerano di San Marco in 1948, the collaborative boot pays homage to a stunning heritage which has seen the company grow from a small-scale boot outfit to an international giant in the realm of sports and athleticwear.
Paying homage to the beginning of its legacy, it was a natural decision for Diadora to partner with the iconic Diemme footwear factory. The result is an adaptation of Diemme's classic Roccia silhouette, remixed with a slew of style details from the Diadora archives.
The upper is built in full-grain cow leather and features double logo detailing on the outer part of the tongue and on the back leather banner. Exquisite lacing-system hardware nods to Diadora's early workshop days, while the neck and bellows tongue are iterated in ultra-soft calfskin for the ultimate experience in comfort. The extractible anatomical latex instep makes for a perfect fit, while the strictly Vibram sole gives the shoe an urban character which is perfect for the contemporary footwear market.
