Converse x Bandulu Pro Leather HiFlux & Gum

Boston artist Bandulu takes his name from the Jamaican Patois for ‘fake’, but his collaboration with Converse is perfectly legitimate. It merges the personalised aesthetic of luxury streetwear with basketball icons like this Pro Leather, where the tan upper is covered in handsewn silk paint splashes to mimic the embroidery Bandulu uses to upcycle vintage finds. The usual star branding and chunky rubber outsole remain, though, so it’s just as ready to hit the hardwood as it is the inner city.
