The usually refined Clarks Originals teams with A Bathing Ape this season to reimagine the Desert Boot – the footwear icon that turns 70 this year. Construction wise, it’s exactly as expected with luxe grey-brown suede uppers and a comfortable crepe rubber sole. It wouldn’t be a BAPE product if there wasn’t some heavy branding, though. Signatures of the Japanese label, including the famous ape head, appear across the upper and on a second fob that hangs alongside the ever-present Clarks Originals one.
