Carhartt WIP Mercer chore coat takes that classic workwear shape and gives it a fresher, more characterful twist through all‑over hickory stripes, which instantly lighten the silhouette and make it feel more playful in a womenswear context. The midweight cotton still has that familiar structure, but the stripes soften the masculinity of the cut in a way that feels intentional rather than forced. Bar‑tack stitching reinforces key points across the jacket, adding tiny hits of texture that break up the pattern just enough to keep it interesting.
