Here's What Happened at the Nike x Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 Launch at END. Glasgow

Glasgow celebrates Air Max Day

Glasgow's Merchant City shopping district was brought to life over the weekend as Scotland's inner sanctum of sneaker collectors and Air Max addicts came out in force to cop the highly coveted Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 release, released in celebration of the Swoosh's annual Air Max Day.

With a range of streetwear grails and limited run sneaker cops on show, END.'s Glasgow flagship was transformed into a northern outpost of Air Max Day style

As one of the world's foremost collectors of vintage shoes and apparel, Sean Wotherspoon created the Air Max 1/97 SW for 2017's Vote Forward competition—and won.

The voter-approved design channels his passion for '80s culture while drawing influence from vintage corduroy caps; his native Virginia and LA; and his two favourite sneakers: the Air Max 1 and the Air Max 97.

Taking over the END. stores' iconic Hype Rooms, a sensory installation featuring the Wotherspoon sneaker was available to view for customers visiting the flagship stores this weekend.
