Gucci looks to both the past and the future with its latest 1977 tennis sneaker, fresh from the eco-conscious Off The Grid capsule. Modelled, as always, on archival ‘70s court styles, this pair substitutes conventional canvas with black ECONYL®— jacquard-woven with the iconic GG motif, of course— reused eyelets and a partially bio-based rubber sole. Even the fashion house’s signature crimson and ivy web is woven using recycled materials.
