Futuristic, performance-inspired, mostly black: these runners are typical of Yohji Yamamoto and his Y-3 label. The lightweight uppers are accented with orange and silver embroidery, adding support and forming shapes that could’ve been picked straight from the ‘00s, and teamed with adidas’ already iconic 4D midsole. And the sole is undeniably the main focus here. It’s covered in brand-synonymous black, rather than the usual pistachio green, but retains the intricate structure that’s formulated based on years of athlete-gathered data.
