Last year, FUTUR and MEPHISTO reimagined the iconic Barracuda shoe and this season Mountain Research wanted in on the action. Drawing inspiration from the ‘80s and ‘90s, the trio create a hiking boot that fuses Japanese style with French technical know-how, resulting in these A Mountain Bakhous. They’re handmade in France from supple suede and come lined with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, while thick lugged rubber soles provide traction on any terrain underfoot.
